The location is in the older downtown area. The place does not look great on the outside. The interior is very nice. Very clean. Most of their business seemed to be take out. I ate inside. All the staff was very friendly and efficient. Made me feel welcome. I had a drink before I ordered. It was good and priced reasonably. I ordered Mongolian Beef. It was spiced just right, served hot and the portion more than ample. It is not gourmet, but if you want good traditional Chinese food, you will be satisfied here.
I used to travel for work for 4 years. Countless restaurants with no real flavor and taste. It all seems to be processed and just junky overall. I love Chinese food, it's nostalgic to me. Growing up I ate a lot of it with friends and those memories tend to remain floating in my head. Memories that make you smile! So when I find a local place that can bring that back, it deserves some stars. The food is wonderful and always tastes exactly how I want it to! It's made very fast, im always there 15 mins or less, but that's not always a good thing. The last time I was in there ( which was my first time I ever entered to be fair, ) it was dead empty bedsides one man. The woman who took my order was incredibly sweet and you could just tell from the exhaustion in her voice how tirelessly she probably works around a schedule making sure her business stays afloat. That's a sad reality. Her food is amazing and this place deserves more recognition for the flavor! And don't let me mention the bar and slot machines they have!!
Kelly and her crew are amazing!! Our family drives 2 hours to come enjoy the amazing food and service. The quality and quantity of food is beyond the best Chinese we've had anywhere else. We came for mother's day weekend and expected it to be busy and wait times crazy but she got us right in and our food way ready before we knew it. We had the pleasure of working with Brittani tonight and we just loved her. She's so sweet and attentive to our needs. We had a large party of 8. With all the orders nothing was messed up or delayed. Canton Wok is by far our favorite place to eat in The Dalles. The remodel/addition is BEAUTIFUL.

We stopped in town on our way to the Oregon Coast, and decided to do Chinese in order to feed our fairly large group. We could not believe how much food there was when we picked up the order. We didn't realize the portions were so large, and even with a group of 16 we still had a ton of leftovers. The service was super quick as well. They had the order ready within 20 minutes of our call, even with such a huge order. Definitely a good place to stop if you are hungry! Had to take a star though because our fried rice tasted a little bit charred.
